[Kdrama] Oh My Ghost Clients Cast & Plot summary & Filming Location

The follow-up to MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “Crushology 101” “Oh My Ghost Clients” is a comic fantasy action series about a labor attorney who gains the special ability to see ghosts and helps resolve the unjust labor issues of spirits who died due to industrial accidents and other workplace tragedies.

The main character, Noh Moojin (played by Jung Kyungho), was once successful but fell into ruin after losing everything in a failed Bitcoin investment. To make ends meet, he became a labor attorney, but his office is always empty and business is slow.

One day, after a near-fatal accident, he miraculously survives and acquires the ability to see ghosts. These ghosts are all workers who died unfairly due to industrial accidents or wrongful dismissals, and Noh Moojin takes on the mission of resolving their grievances and helping them find peace. At first, he reluctantly accepts ghost clients just to survive and protect himself, but gradually, as he empathizes with their stories, he grows into a true advocate for workers.

During this journey, he forms a team called “Moojin’s” with his sister-in-law Na Heeju (played by Seol Inah) and video creator Go Kyunwoo (played by Cha Hakyeon), showcasing their chaotic teamwork and delightful banter. The fantasy elements are further enhanced by a mysterious figure known as “Bosal” (played by Tang Junsang) and a life-risking, bizarre contract.

The drama stands out for its fresh combination of ghost fantasy and real-world labor issues, marks director Yim Soonrye’s first foray into television, and delivers a strong social message from writers Kim Botong and Yoo Seunghee. It also features outstanding performances from Jung Kyungho, Seol Inah, Cha Hakyeon, and other talented actors.

Nomujin – Jung Kyungho

A labor attorney who can see ghosts. Once living a successful life, he fell into ruin after a failed investment and became a labor attorney. Na Heeju – Seol Inah

A person with fiery fighting spirit and Moojin’s sister-in-law. With a straightforward personality, she is a core member of the “Moojins” team. She partners with Moojin to help solve the stories of ghosts.

Go Kyunwoo – Cha Hakyeon

A former journalist turned video creator. He has a good sense for social media and infiltration skills, and plays an enthusiastic role as a member of the “Moojins” team.

Bosal – Tang Junsang

Oh My Ghost Clients Plot summary

For the sake of investing in cryptocurrency, No Moo-jin submits his resignation to the company. His senior and manager, Chul-yong, asks, “What’s the real reason you’re quitting a perfectly good job?” No Moo-jin replies, “Because it doesn’t make me happy.” Afterwards, No Moo-jin follows his colleague Jung-min’s lead and invests his severance pay in cryptocurrency, only to lose everything and face the risk of divorce from his wife.

At this point, Chul-yong suggests, “If you get a labor attorney license, I’ll help you get a job at the company.” No Moo-jin passes the labor attorney exam in just one year, but in the meantime, he hears that Chul-yong has been fired, which brings him another wave of despair. No Moo-jin recruits his sister-in-law Na Hee-joo to his labor attorney office, and Hee-joo takes the lead in sales, but they fail to land a single contract and even fall behind on the office rent.

No Moo-jin falls asleep while watching videos of his once-happy married life and has a nightmare of his wife Na Mi-joo leaving him because of his mistakes. On the verge of being evicted from his office, Hee-joo takes Moo-jin to meet Ko Kyun-woo, the creator of “Gyeon-jjang TV.” Ko Kyun-woo, who is just 95,000 subscribers away from reaching one million, suggests an idea: visit workplaces with poor safety facilities, threaten them, and secure consulting contracts. After much deliberation, Moo-jin agrees.

Later, Moo-jin visits Taehyup Steel, a company with many industrial accidents. While inspecting the site, he narrowly avoids being crushed by a falling H-beam due to inadequate safety facilities, and in that moment, recalls his childhood. He hears the same desperate voice from his office dream—“Please open the door. Please, help me”—and opens the door, only to awaken in another place.

A bodhisattva appears before Moo-jin, presenting him with a labor attorney business card and an employment contract for wandering spirits. When Moo-jin asks, “If I sign this, will you really save me?” the bodhisattva replies, “Of course. I always keep my promises.” In his desperation, Moo-jin signs the contract without even reading it properly…
