Introducing Kdrama Tastefully Yours Cast & Filming location Jeonju Hanok Village. Set in a small restaurant in Jeonju, ‘Your Taste’ is a romantic drama that depicts the growth and love story of two people with completely different philosophies about food.
Affectionately known as “The Foodie’s Romance” among fans, Tastefully Yours is a delectable blend of romance, comedy, and drama that offers a fresh take on love, ambition, and the magic of food. Premiering in May 2025 on ENA and streaming globally on Netflix, this series quickly captured hearts with its irresistible chemistry, mouthwatering visuals, and the cozy charm of Jeonju’s culinary scene.
At its core, Tastefully Yours is the story of two people from vastly different worlds: Han Beom-woo, the slick and ambitious heir to a major Korean food conglomerate, and Mo Yeon-joo, the passionate but stubborn chef who runs a tiny, unassuming restaurant with just one table. Their initial clash of philosophies—Beom-woo’s corporate-driven quest for Michelin-style stars versus Yeon-joo’s heartfelt dedication to authentic flavors—sets the stage for a series brimming with humor, heart, and culinary creativity.
The drama’s warmth is amplified by its supporting cast, including the endearing Jin Myeong-sook and the spirited Shin Chun-seung, who together form a found family in Yeon-joo’s little eatery. Their journey is punctuated by moments of laughter, tension, and tender romance, all set against the backdrop of Jeonju’s historic Hanok village.
Tastefully Yours stands out for its ability to balance lighthearted comedy with genuine emotional depth, making it a comforting yet exhilarating watch. The series has been praised for its authentic portrayal of restaurant life, its witty dialogue, and the natural chemistry between its leads. Whether you’re a food lover, a rom-com enthusiast, or simply in search of a feel-good story, Tastefully Yours serves up a deliciously satisfying experience.

Tastefully Yours Plot Summary
Han Beom-woo, an executive at the major food company Hansang, is a “recipe hunter” collecting recipes from famous restaurants to achieve three Michelin stars. He targets Mo Yeon-joo, a genius chef running the small fine-dining restaurant “Jeongje” in Jeonju, and tries to steal her recipe, which leads to their first meeting filled with conflict. Despite their rocky start, curiosity about each other begins to grow.
Mo Yeon-joo is a chef with a strict philosophy of only using the best ingredients bought that day, but she struggles to keep her restaurant afloat due to its secluded location. Beom-woo proposes to acquire her restaurant, but is rejected and kicked out. Eventually, the two start working together. Meanwhile, Jin Myeong-sook, a 15-year veteran and star at Jeonju’s top gukbap restaurant, meets Mo Yeon-joo at the market and joins Jeongje.
With Jin Myeong-sook’s addition, Jeongje gains new energy, but faces obstacles when Chun-seung, who lost his staff to Jeongje, interferes with their business. Amid these troubles, a fire breaks out at Jeongje. At the same time, Beom-woo’s brother Han Seon-woo, head of the two-star restaurant “L’Arselle” and a rival for Hansang Group’s management, recruits Chef Jang Young-hye to compete for three Michelin stars.
To pay for the restaurant’s fire-damaged interior, the Jeongje team enters the 43rd Ongoeul Food Truck Competition. Han Seon-woo and Chef Jang Young-hye, aiming to block Beom-woo, also enter the competition as Team Hansang. Facing off against Hansang’s flashy food truck, Chef Mo Yeon-joo chooses to compete with gimbap. Jeongje’s gimbap becomes a hit, but due to match-fixing, the prize money goes to Hansang. After the competition, Mo Yeon-joo and Han Beom-woo develop deeper feelings for each other and eventually share a kiss.
However, Mo Yeonju has wounds that prevent her from accepting Han Beomwoo’s feelings, and the relationship between the two becomes awkward again. At that moment, Mo Yeonju’s ex-boyfriend Jeon Min (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) appears. Beomwoo learns that the reason Mo Yeonju left Myuri was because of her boyfriend. The two go on their first date, but when her ex-boyfriend calls, Mo Yeonju leaves for Japan, and Beomwoo also heads to Sapporo to follow her…
There is a man sitting in the business class of a flight to Korea ordering two meal menus. Not out of greed, but because he is sincere about taste, he is Jeon Min, the head chef of the French restaurant ‘Le Murie’. When the collaboration in-flight meal between the airline and Le Murie does not taste right, he asks the flight attendant to stop this collaboration.
Jeon Min immediately visits Mo Yeonju upon arriving in Korea. He waits for her with a sorrowful gaze, but Mo Yeonju treats him coldly. There is a special story between the two. Mo Yeonju is an orphan who was abandoned at a temple without parents, loved cooking, entered the CIA, and later worked at the Michelin three-star restaurant Le Murie in Sapporo, Japan.
There, she met Jeon Min and fell in love, but Jeon Min took responsibility for a mistake regarding dried pollack preparation and quit Le Murie as if it was her fault. Mo Yeonju asks Jeon Min why he did not contact her. They seem to have once promised to marry, and Jeon Min suggests returning to Sapporo with her.
Mo Yeonju, who had told Han Beomwoo she would never leave, suddenly leaves for Sapporo…
Jeon Min has established himself as a respectable head chef in Sapporo. When the owner chef suffers from dementia, Jeon Min plans to take over the restaurant’s management. Mo Yeonju follows Jeon Min to Sapporo but has no intention of leaving Jeongje or starting over with him. She plans to meet her mentor, the owner chef, express her gratitude, and return.
Meanwhile, Han Seonwoo is working on acquiring Le Murie to become the successor of Hansang. Jang Younghye discovers this plan. Han Beomwoo can have Mo Yeonju’s recipe book but is now in a position to protect the recipes. He borrows money from Shin Choonseung and heads to Sapporo to bring Mo Yeonju back.
Jeon Min negotiates with Hansang and brings Mo Yeonju before her mentor, showing signs of wanting to start over with her…
Mo Yeonju’s past is revealed, showing that Jeon Min never confessed his mistake in handling pufferfish to his mentor and quit instead. Jeon Min plans to accept Han Seonwoo’s merger proposal. Mo Yeonju finds her mentor Tatsuo’s medicine in the kitchen trash, but Jeon Min, embarrassed, claims it is his.
Mo Yeonju reconciles with her mentor Tatsuo, and on the day he regains consciousness, she witnesses Jeon Min presenting a contract. Jeon Min receives financial support from Hansang and plans to become the head chef of L’Arcel. Han Beomwoo learns this through Jang Younghye and, after returning to the board, rejects Hansang’s merger.
Meanwhile, Jang Younghye tries to steal Mo Yeonju’s recipes…
Jang Younghye uses Mo Yeonju’s recipe book to welcome the Diamant delegation at Moto. The dishes she makes receive good reviews, and Moto earns a Diamant three-star rating, causing Han Beomwoo to despair. Han Seonwoo exposes Han Beomwoo as a recipe hunter in front of Mo Yeonju and Han Beomwoo, causing Mo Yeonju to burst into tears…
Meanwhile, the arsonist of Jeongje is revealed to be the owner who had his recipes stolen by Han Beomwoo.
Jeongje is also selected for the Diamant three-star award. It is discovered that the father of the French bride from the previous meeting was a Diamant judge. Jeongje becomes a hot place, but Mo Yeonju and the staff suspend restaurant operations and only belatedly learn of the Diamant three-star selection. Chairman Han plans a broadcast to pit Moto against Jeongje, and Han Beomwoo goes back to Jeonju to save Jeongje.
The competition between Moto and Jeongje unfolds, and Jin Myeongsook leads Jeongje to victory as a chef, but Chairman Han manipulates the result as a draw. As talks of a rematch arise, Mo Yeonju appears and agrees to the rematch. The next morning, she serves Chairman Han a home-cooked meal recipe. Chairman Han says it was delicious with memories and leaves, allowing Jeongje to continue operating.
Han Beomwoo and Mo Yeonju become lovers, and Han Beomwoo renovates the restaurant that went bankrupt due to recipe theft, leading to a happy ending.

Jeonju Hanok Village
The City of Jeonju has played a key role in the long history of Korea. The city was once the capital of the Hubaekje Kingdom, which was founded by Kyŏn Hwŏn in the 900s. The city was regarded as the spiritual capital of the Joseon Dynasty because the Yi royal family was from there. In the Joseon Dynasty, Jeonju governed the Jeolla-do area along with Jeju Island, which was considered the center of administration. This is why the city is called ‘the ground of more than 1000 years history’.
