Netflix’s Our Sticky Love portrays the heart-fluttering cohabitation of an elite prosecutor with amnesia and a boxing coach who insists he’s her boyfriend.
Like yeot (엿), Korea’s traditional taffy candy, it’s a story of love that’s both sweet and sticky.
Actor Jung Hae-in plays Jang Tae-ha, a former youth boxing champion and gang member currently working as a small-town boxing coach. He described the role as the purest embodiment of devoted love among the characters he’s played, saying that his character’s determination to protect the person he loves in any situation made him look “cool.”
Jung Hae-in also shared that because his character has no dating experience, his clumsy, awkward way of handling relationships ended up feeling charming rather than off-putting.
He revealed that “the scenes with Ha Young felt like a romantic comedy, but the scenes with senior actor Heo Sung-tae felt like noir — it felt like shooting two or three different projects at once.”
